How Acceler8 collects, uses, and protects personal data.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Balance Batteries Ltd T/A Acceler8 (Acceler8, we, us, or our) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when people visit our website, create an account, use our software-as-a-service platform, contact us, receive marketing, or otherwise interact with us.

2. Our role

For website visitors, prospects, account administrators, billing contacts, and direct users of our Services, Acceler8 is generally the controller of personal data. For personal data contained in Customer Data that a customer uploads or configures within the Services, the customer is generally the controller and Acceler8 acts as processor or service provider, unless an agreement states otherwise.

The personal data we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:

• Identity and contact data: name, job title, company, email address, phone number, postal address, and account profile details.
• Account and authentication data: username, hashed password, single sign-on identifiers, workspace details, permissions, and security logs.
• Billing and commercial data: selected plan, purchase history, invoices, payment status, billing address, tax details, and transaction records. Payment card data is normally handled by our payment processor rather than stored by us.
• Usage and device data: IP address, browser, device type, operating system, pages visited, features used, timestamps, referring URLs, logs, diagnostics, and approximate location inferred from IP address.
• Customer Data: content, files, records, prompts, outputs, integrations, and other information submitted to the Services by or for a customer.
• Communications: messages, support requests, survey responses, call notes, meeting recordings where disclosed, and marketing preferences.
• Cookie and tracking data: identifiers and information collected through cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies, subject to cookie consent settings where required.

Fundraising quiz location

When you submit the quiz contact form, we use your public IP address with ipapi.co to estimate your country, region and city. We store this approximate location with your lead record to understand where quiz enquiries originate. The quiz location record does not retain your raw IP address, postcode or precise coordinates. Local/private addresses and unsuccessful lookups are recorded without an estimated location. This is separate from the company-location answer used to determine the appropriate fundraising support.

4. How we collect personal data

• Directly from you when you complete forms, create an account, purchase a plan or credit top-up, request support, or communicate with us.
• Automatically when you use our website or Services, including through cookies and similar technologies.
• From customers or account administrators who invite or manage users.
• From integrations you connect to the Services, according to your settings and permissions.
• From service providers, partners, public sources, and business contact databases where lawful.

Customers should avoid submitting sensitive personal data unless the Services and agreement are configured for that use.
